Book Synopsis Start Your Engines compiles works from Scott Robertsons vast archives of ground vehicle drawings and renderings. Inside this book is a fantastic selection of both both futuristic and retrospective sketches and renderings of surface vehicles completed by Scott Robertson over the last ten years. From the loosest small thumbnail to the tightest photo-real rendering, this collection is an invaluable reference for other designers and artists. Featured chapters include Cars, Bicycles, Snowcraft, Mechanimals, and selected work from the conceptual design of vehicles for the video games Field Commander and Spy Hunter 2 . As a concept designer, a teacher and an artist, Robertsons work is heavily influenced by his experience as an industrial designer with an emphasis on the design and virtual building of the objects explored through drawings.
