From MacKenzie-Childs, this 2-quart tea kettle features: The famed black and white checked tea kettle. Bubbling over with MacKenzie-Childs style, our Courtly Check® Enamel 2-Quart Tea Kettle will have you finding new reasons to put the kettle on to boil. The heavy-gauge steel underbody is hand-painted with our color-dragged Courtly Checks® and ceramic glaze, and rimmed in bronzed stainless steel. With a wood handle, and a lid topped with a carved faux-cinnabar bead, you may find yourself leaving this charming piece on the stovetop for kitchen beautification. Or place it on display, filled with fresh-cut flowers or greens. The iconic MacKenzie-Childs kettle makes a perfect gift for seasoned collectors, or a welcome invitation for a friend new to our Courtly Check® wares. Approx. 7" base dia., 10.5" tall, 2 qt. capacity Pieces may vary due to the handmade nature of each product. Before using your kettle for the first time, remove all labels and wash thoroughly. Use over medium flame on gas range, medium to high settings on electric ranges and low to medium settings on ceramic top ranges. Never boil dry, as this could cause damage to both your kettle and cooktop. Do not use on induction cooktops. Hand-wash with mild soap and dry immediately to preserve the finish. Do not microwave. Our enamelware exceeds both federal food safety regulations and California's Proposition 65, the strictest environmental safety standards in the U.S. Handle enamelware with care and discontinue use for food service if it becomes chipped, cracked, or broken. Imported.
