About the Author Mackenzie Porter loves writing stories inspired by her family and is the author of four books, including In My Heart , You Are Home , Let Her Be , and She Is Mama . Mackenzie wrote her first book, In My Heart , when she returned to work after the birth of her daughter. Mackenzie obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2023 and works full time both in maternal and child health and as being a mom. In her spare time, she loves to travel anywhere and everywhere. She lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her husband, daughter, dog, and the rest of her big Greek family. Originally from Swansea, she moved to Bristol to study illustration at University of the West of England and hasnt left since graduating in 2017.
