About the Author Mobile, Alabama native author La Jill Hunts writing career started as a stress reliever while working as a bill collector for a telephone company. Then, boredom kicked in around age 30 and pushed her into writing for the purpose of entertaining her coworkers. This was her first step toward becoming a published author. La Jill was all too familiar with drama as her home life spiraled into an emotionally and physically abusive roller coaster. Searching for an outlet, she continued writing books and has released several novels such as Shoulda Woulda Coulda , Old Habits Die Hard , Too Close for Comfort , and many more. La Jill took a 4-year hiatus and returned even stronger, releasing Midlife Crisis , Imitation of Wife , Private Property , and My Mamas Drama , also co-writing The Family Business and The Black Hamptons books and television series with New York Times Bestselling Author Carl Weber. La Jill describes her novels as Contemporary Womens Fiction with an Urban flair. I am a Black woman, writing modern-day Black stories featuring Black Women and Black Love.
